New Aldoa Plating Process Provides “High Nickel” Deposits With More Than 95% Plating Efficiency
The Aldoa Company (Detroit, MI), a leading innovator in the research, development and worldwide supply of advanced, environmental-friendly chemicals for the plating industry, has developed an improved version of its acid zinc-nickel alloy plating process, Novalyte HNZN. This new process meets the new automotive plating specifications for “high-nickel” requiring more than 10% nickel content for fasteners depending on usage or requirements. The deposit from this new system is bright with high ductility while being economical and simple to maintain. It can be used with either barrel or rack applications.(CONTINUED) |
NEW ADDITIVE GIVES BRIGHT OUTLOOK TO HIGH SPEED ZINC & ZINC/IRON PLATING
The Aldoa Company (Detroit, MI), a leader in the research and development as well as supplier of advanced, environmental-friendly chemicals for the plating industry, has developed and introduced a new additive formulation—Nova Speed 2005. The new formula is a unique, all sulfate process additive developed for use in high speed continuous electroplating operations of zinc or zinc/iron alloy, such as with strip, coil or wire materials to provide a bright, and high-gloss finish. The smooth, ductile and lustrous plating deposit obtained from the inclusion of Nova Speed 2005 additive in the plating bath, in most cases, eliminates the need for time consuming and expensive secondary surface treatments prior to final finishing as in cases of painting or powder coating applications. NEW NON-CYANIDE ADDITIVE OPENS DOOR TO IMPROVED COPPER PLATE PROCESS
The transition in the plating industry converting to environmentally safe and occupational hazard-free formulas has sometimes been hit and miss when it comes to obtaining satisfactory results of coating finish and product quality. For copper plating, however, the guesswork has come to an end at the Aldoa Company (Detroit, MI), a leading innovator in the research and development as well as supplier of advanced, environmental-friendly chemicals for the plating industry, has developed and launched a new additive formulation, Novalyte NC-CU. This new additive is an alkaline, non-cyanide solution that alleviates the environmental and safety concerns of cyanide based copper electroplating systems, and can be used to deliver a semi-bright to bright finish deposit from the alkaline solution. Typical applications for the copper/Novalyte NC-CU based process will fall into household hardware and decorative items, for plumbing fixtures and fasteners, as well as electrical and electronic components. It can also be used in the top coating of steel wire and as a mask heat treatable steel components.(CONTINUED) |
NEW, DUAL-ADDITIVES PROCESS DOES DOUBLE DUTY FOR ZINC PLATING
The Aldoa Company (Detroit, MI), a leading innovator in the research and development as well as supplier of advanced, environmental-friendly chemicals for the plating industry, has introduced its latest formulations, Novalyte 404 B&C. The new chemistry consists of a two part additive system for chloride zinc processes and sulfate-based acid zinc electrolyte baths. The environmentally friendly double additives are ecologically conscious and serve as brightener additives in all types of acidic zinc chloride baths. The Novalyte 404 system provides a low overall cost alternative in comparison to traditional additive systems while providing a 95% plus efficiency. The brightener aspect of the Novalyte 404 system offers a wide range brightness levels that can be easily controlled by the operator. (CONTINUED) |
